IMATS HAUL 2012

So on friday 3rd feb I went to the IMATS (International make-up artist trade show) held at Alexandra Palace. This is a BIG make-up exhibition held in 5 Cities across the world, exhibitors ranged from MAC to Illamasqua to NYX tp SFX you name it they were there!

This was my first time ever that I've been to a show like this and OMG now I know what I've been missing, its heaven for make-up junkies like myself!!

I have been meaning to try out Illamasqua's products for ageeees, its a shame they didn't have skin base foundation on the pro-day, but they had cream foundations which is great so I got 8 in a pack, I personally prefer creams, they are easier to carry, good coverage, can be doubled as a concealer but also sheered down with a primer. 8 shades ranging from light to dark.
I grabbed some liners aswell. again these can be used all over...eyes,lips,face,body etc. very creamy, soft and pigmented.
The white bottle is Illamasqua's Rich liquid foundation in shade 100. Perfect for geisha styled makeup, but also if your foundation is a tad dark you can make it lighter with just a dot of this. You can use it as a base for anything to make colours pop.

You sanitize your hands before applying makeup? Well this is a sanitizer for your makeup! Especially products like eyeshadows lipsticks which makeup artist double dip in when applying..this is what causes cross infection. The Beauty so clean sanitizer mist, disinfects your makeup with out drying it out. Every MUAs must have!

For some time I have been looking for a sealer for glitters, I've used some in the past but they never had good hold on the glitters. Came across a company I have never heard of- LASplash till then..they had various products but I tried out the Eyeliner sealer/base. The assistant applied it to the back of her hands then some glitter and I must say that glitter did not budge at all even after trying to rub it off!

Been meaning to get this product aswell. It is the perfect primer for your makeup, don't need a lot of product, just one pump is enough to apply all over the skin, wait for it to settle in then go ahead with your foundation. This is perfect to use with the Kryolan TV Paint sticks, really helps the foundation move on the skin and blend.

Always need to stock up on sponges as they can't be cleaned and reused over and over again. The puffs can be cleaned and are good to have so you can avoid pressing your knuckles on the clients face,

Already own Inglot's AMC eyeliner in black...this is one amazing product, once applied does not budge and very pigmented. Also, a little goes a long way...

First time I've heard or bought anything from Bdellium tools...These brushes are super-soft and the collection is big. I got a rounded stippling brush, a slim blush brush, 2 blender brushes which are dupes for the MAC 217 & 224.

Can get these at www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk

Can never go wrong with Crownbrush.. prices are good and collection is endless. I grabbed 2 blender brushes,2 eyeliner brushes and an angled brush. All for practically nothing.

NYX is an American brand which has been around for ages, however only recently has come to the U.K. They're lip-liners are super pigmented and soft, and again the colour spectrum is huge.
In the U.K. you can get these products from
love-makeup.co.uk
nyxcosmetics.co.uk

A good way to have a nice selection of colours to hand, for some colours you may not have. Kryolan's lip palettes are the best!

Hope you guys like my haul. Bring on IMATS 2013.. I am so saving up for next year :D

Kiko cosmetics Shadow sticks review and swatches

I've never been keen on Eyeshadow sticks, as i have tried so many in the past and they weren't that amazing, and yes including MAC shadesticks which just pulled at my skin :(  some kept on creasing, some were hardly pigmented...

I went into KIKO cosmetics at Westfields after seeing they have eyeshadows on for £3 (special offer) I tried the sticks out they were very pigmented and smooth to glide on :) I started by getting just the white 01 and black 20...and yes I went back for more :)
The claim to last upto 8hours...which they do! they don't crease and make the perfect base for shadows, you can use them as eyeliner or just by themselves.

below I have swatched the shades I have :)

When applying you need to be super fast to blend as once it sets that's it till the end of the day. I find this perfect to use on my mature clients aswell, as its not too strong and looks perfect, they aren't super shimmery either.

I would recommend these to anyone building their kit! they are perfect and versatile products!!

My FIRST post EVER!! :D

Woooo OMG finally getting it together to write something on here lol So here we go :)

My name is Nusaybah, I am a Make-up artist and Hairstylist based in London. I have started this blog to share my love of make-up with the world but also to help the lovely people who get in touch with me on a day-to-day basis asking questions about Make-up..products..application etc etc

I started out well over 2 years ago, practising on family and friends.. later I did a bridal course and then I went onto doing a course with the lovely Samantha and Nicole Chapman aka Pixiwoo (on youtube) after watching sooo many of their youtube vids..Honestly I don't think I needed to go to anyone else other than them, they were amazing, and helped so much giving me the confidence I needed.
When I started out I didn't have anyone to help me, to tell me what's good..what's not..what not to even bother looking at! I spent hours browsing the net for product reviews, for ideas, buying products and wishing I hadn't bothered lol..

So if any of you lovelies out there have any questions about products..about looks..about absolutely anything make-up and hair related just drop me an email :) info@nusaybah.co.uk and I will do my best to help you xx
